Research

We use mass spectrometry to identify and quantify small organic molecules in marine and coastal environments. We particularly focus on a group of abundant metabolites called osmolytes and their role in microbial food webs and geochemical cycles. We also use non-target analysis to identify emerging contaminants of concern.
